About: $5 Fitness is a bootcamp program designed for those who don't have the time or fortune to go to a traditional gym to receive personal training. What sets us apart from other bootcamps is that we provide all exercise equipment to you. We are literally the "Gym On The Go!"
Tomatoe, Tomato, Tabata?
According to studies, you should strive to exercise for about 30 minutes daily. On average people spend about an hour at the gym. An hour of training is ideal, especially if you are working at a fast pace with low rest times. That is what High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is and that is what we do at $5 Fitness. Tabata is another version of HIIT that was invented by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata. This type of training consists of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. Most people who do Tabata confuse it with doing "burn outs", where you keep going until you can't anymore. You start off doing as many reps as you can and then are unable to do just one rep at the end.
