Lynette is a lifetime learner who has been crafting and sewing since the age of seven. She loves to teach children, tweens, teens and adults of all ages. She has taught all levels of sewing, from beginner through couture, for the past 25 years in classroom settings as well as private lessons. She started teaching knitting and jewelry making a little over 10 years ago. Every February she teaches intermediate and advanced classes at a local fiber arts retreat, and she teaches youth and adult classes for a DFW area community education program. Lynette believes that it's never too late or too early to learn something new. No matter what age or gender someone is, making things is vitally important for every person because it's a means of personal growth and it can help reduce stress and result in a sense of accomplishment. Making feeds the soul. It doesn't matter how many tries, mistakes or do-overs it takes--Lynette encourages and inspires her students to believe in themselves and embrace the process of learning something new.
